Abbie Gilbert brings extensive executive experience, having spent the last ten years at Humana Inc., where she focused on Medicaid strategy, social impact partnerships, external affairs, government relations, and population health strategy.
Prior to Humana Abbie led Public Relations at UofL College of Business and spent 5 years at Northwestern Mutual. She has a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Louisville and a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Innovation & Sustainability from the Harvard Extension School.
Some of Abbie’s previous community leadership roles included the President of Young Professionals Association of Louisville in 2011; Ignite Louisville Graduate in 2012; Greater Louisville Inc. Healthcare Fellow Class of 2017. She is currently a Board Member for Volunteers of America Mid-States and a graduate of Leadership Kentucky Class of 2023. Mayor Craig Greenburg appointed Abbie to the Board of Transportation Authority of River City (TARC) in October 2023. Abbie is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer and was named one of the Louisville Business First’s 40 under 40 in 2012.
